ST1300-A2, NH478M - The Bike
Well, here we are a year and a half on from acquiring the machine
The bike was born into its current state as from about June 2011
The machine is powerful, strong, long-legged, sure-footed, quiet, a family orientated thing, pleasing to the eye and very grey - just like it's rider who is also short, fat, ugly, bearded, broke and an anorak of the first order of incompetence
Since it was acquired it's had an MOT which it passed with no advisories, it's been given a major service by me with the more technical bits like valve clearances, counterbalance shafts adjustment and throttle body balancing done at the local dealership which is Ecosse Honda in Aberdeen
Various bits of bodywork that had been marked or damaged during its two prior ownerships have been replaced and it's been treated to a shed load of farkles which are recorded on another page on this site
For interest, a library of relevant documents like brochures, manuals, articles and the like has begun to be collected
The mileage figure recorded on the instruments has begun to rise and the machine is used not only for fun but also occasionally to get to work - and that's just as much fun anyway!
The machine is very much proving to be an asset in so many ways and has already been added to the 'list' of family inheritance items because it's certain that it has now come into its final ownership
The insurers have been informed that the number of annual miles that the bike will 'do' is going to rise from the original and innocently made 'highly conservative' estimate
